Marcus Grindstaff hit the summit in corporate America. From Intel to health tech startups, Marcus learned engineering and leadership from some of the great minds of the last 30 years.

Naturally, when he retired from the big offices and grind of Silicon Valley his next stop was a private all-girls school in Sacramento.

Marcus traded the corner office for the high school gym and dozens of 9-12 grade girls figuring out whether they want to be engineers.

The St. Francis Catholic High School all-girl underwater robotics team conquered last year's world championship. How? Powerful student leadership, acceptance that mistakes are the norm not the exception, and a whole lot of support from a coach who has been there and seen it all.
