Gajendra daasar was called as Thirukkachi nambigal. He was well known for his aalavattam kainkaryam (fanning service) and pushpa kainkaryam to kanchi perumal. His modesty and steadfast devotion made Dheva perumal and Perundevi thaayar to choose him as their messenger to convey great messages to their devotees. He thus received a rare boon of conversing with perumal and thaayar.
