He shook the confidence of Ravana and warned him by showing a brief demonstration of what would happen to Lanka with Ram's arrival. He was aware of Ram's feelings, therefore chose the right words to convey an information precisely without aggravating his anxiety. He gave a light of hope to Rama and Sita. The Mighty Rama bhaktha, Anjaniputra Hanuman did everything perfectly and meticulously from the start till the end of the mission of finding Devi Sita. He did all of Rama's and Sita's kainkaryam in the same manner. That's why he is known as Siriya Thiruvadi.
