James opens with a greeting and a short discussion on trials, temptations, trusting, transition, treasure, and true religion. We should familiarize ourselves with this progression, as it is the same for us when we come into the faith.
The overarching theme is that faith in Jesus will produce an active work in Jesus. I am living Coram Deo.
