Welcome back to Strictly Business the Podcast. This week, Jacob seeks normalcy as he returns from a questionable vacation to Florida and Alabama, Ben revisits a bittersweet mountaineering experience from the previous week, and Keaton - well - he just had a normal week.
We cover chapters 8 and 9 of "Atomic Habits", written by James Clear. It turns out, that we can utilize the science behind our dopamine and other endorphins to enhance our habit development through a method called "temptation bundling". This is proven even more effective if you can identify a social dynamic of yours who values a purposeful approach to personal growth as well. If you can't identify a social circle of yours that values their growth and supports yours, perhaps it's time to lead by example - or begin looking for a group that does. You'll thank yourself in the long-run, ya chump.
If this podcast entertains, enlightens, or even annoys you, please share it with your friends so they can join the fun. It will help you all grow together as we do the same here on the podcast. Of course, a silver lining would be that it helps us pay the bills as well hehe.
Do you have an accountability group? Are you setting goals? We want to hear from you.
