If you listen to last week's episode, you know that I am struggling with wanting to got to work and wanting to stay home with my family. With over twenty years in HVAC and Building Trades, finding work is not a problem. It's just that... I'm a writer damn it! When push comes to shove, I'll take a job and bring home the bacon, but I am hoping I can both do it as a writer.
In this episode, I talk about my first step in my journey of 1,000 miles. A dime. I made ten cents last month on Medium. It may not sound like a lot. Well, that's because it's not. I don't even think I can you can buy a gum ball for ten cents. But this ten cents means a lot more to me. Listen in to find out what I am talking about.
Below are the words of actor Geoffrey Owens that I mention in this episode.
“Somewhere in the middle of the road of my life, I found myself in the dark wood of unemployment and debt, but instead of switching careers like a sane person, I took a job at Trader Joe’s to see if I could hang in there. And um, it’s actually worked out pretty well. I’m Geoffrey Owens and I’m an actor.”
