Vault City was launched in 2018 by Founders Steve and Johnnie in Edinburgh, who started out homebrewing on the kitchen stove, before evolving to produce 400l batches in the basement. In 2019 an opportunity came up to rent a corner of 71 Brewing's warehouse in Dundee, as well as to brew on the 71 kit. Production stepped up 10x to 4000l batches.
From Jan 2021, Vault City will be coming home to Portobello Beach in Edinburgh, moving into their own Brewery and Taproom.
