After getting his start directing plays, Stuart Gordon went on to write and direct several acclaimed horror and science-fiction motion pictures including Re-Animator, Dagon, and The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit. Gordon also worked on episodes of Masters of Horror, Fear Itself, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show. Over his career, he directed and wrote several adaptations based on Edgar Allen Poe and H.P. Lovecraft short stories. His final feature length film was Stuck, a striking thriller inspired by the grisly 2001 Texas murder of homeless man Gregory Glen Biggs.
