The Suicide Squad goes for a more comedic bent than its predecessor. After an opening that misleads viewers, the plot starts in earnest. Sure, it feels a bit long, but the loose feel to everything along with the increased gore and language makes this feel more like Tarantino than whatever goth vibe the last movie was going for.
