Description

With this instalment of the podcast I have invited along Sam Burkett onto the podcast, and as we slowly lead into a project we will be working together in very soon called "Me and My Dyslexia"

Sam's work dives and delves into comedy and movement, with them work involving working with dancer but also comedians. We talk about the challenges, and cultures of trying to bring those two worlds together as both worlds make work in different ways but also how they can really enhance each other.

We talk briefly on Sam's past includes their study in poltics, and life in the U.S before arriving in the UK and how neurodiversity came into play and how both sides of the Atlantic and actually how their approaches to supporting someone, in Sam's case with ADHD. Which includes how being medicated comes into the mix

We talk about the tools that keep us self sufficient, and how to not be embarrassed about using them. Your self care is important, than how you might be viewed. Make use of that access support wherever you can get it, the only person it effects if you don't go for that help is only yourself.

We end our conversation with Sam's thoughts and interest in relation to neurodiversity and mental we talked about social structures in society, and current systems we live in.

Sam has a bunch of stuff coming up soon you can get involved in which our comedy and/or queer focused events and workshops follow them either at:
