In Episode #6 of The DeVaney Music Podcast, Ian interviews Paul Roraback, drummer for Grammatrain and frontman (and basically one man band) with PJ Bostic, not to mention Drum Tech for Terry Bozzio, drummer for Missing Persons and Frank Zappa!
Ian and Paul talk about Paul's new PJ Bostic record titled Faith of Least Resistance (available at https://pjbostic.com/), and also Paul's experience with Grammatrain and how he first got into music. There's also a bit of drum talk and discussion about Terry Bozzio, Paul's love for RUSH and Neil Peart, and some of Paul's other favorite drummers. They also talk about the theme of Paul's record and how deception or false teaching have crept into the Church and into our world in general. They lean into some controversial topics and discuss New Age teaching, theological "Deconstruction" and "Reconstruction", the popularity and origins of the Enneagram, and even a little bit of politics. To wrap things up, we talk about how we should love others even if we disagree, and how the Gospel brings the light of hope into our chaotic world.
Buckle up for a slightly longer episode with some provocative discussion! We would love to hear your thoughts and feedback about everything discussed as well! devaneyproductions@gmail.com
