“Our loved ones” introduces the problem of intimate partner violence. Not everybody is able to detect a victim. And not every victim is able to talk about this issue. With a social worker and a psychologist, “Our loved ones” will offer you tools to perceive signs and to help victims by having a better understanding of the situation.
Furthermore, while a correlation between disasters and rise of intimate partner violence has been identified, measures taken by the French government to prevent the spread of COVID-19 had multiple effects. Although it tried to protect the citizens against the virus, it also hurt a lot of people. With this case study, we try to understand this complex issue by approaching the psychological, sociocultural and ethnic aspects.
“Our loved ones” has been created by three first year students of the Bachelor Security Studies from Leiden University.
