Someone came to I see me yesterday, they have been seeing me for about 2-3months and there body has completely changed. However he has one problem still, sitting in the sofa π Heβs mentioned it before that this now is the only reason for his low back to give him trouble πΏ So let me explain, sofas even more than normal chairs are pretty much guaranteed to make you slump, why? The cushions are soft and the chair is low to the ground. This automatically tilts the pelvis backwards. Like a house if the foundation is off everything above it then has to try and hold together π This pushes the discs in spine towards the spinal cord most commonly. These are a little bit like a jam donut, they are spongey on the outside and then have a liquid in the middle. If you typically press one side of the donut the jam will come out the other side. π© So when you next sit on the sofa and you think it is taking you some time to loosen off when you stand up is because you may have flattened the donut in your back π
