Jack’s gloomy post-fireworks demeanor begins to lighten when he takes up with the birdlike and breakable Phoebe from Christie’s (played exquisitely by Emily Mortimer) but not before first falling hard for Liz’s flower guy, now Floydster. Liz keeps Floyd in her bed with Uno and tissue-filled pajamas…which seems to somehow be working…and Tracy tries to make a Thomas Jefferson movie against all odds.
