One issue that has confronted helping professionals trained by the traditional treatment model ~ the Eurocentric (white), male, middle class, Protestant, gamma-type alcoholic model, is that it doesn't have a theory of treatment for people of color based based on exclusive data complied through non-Eurocentric (white) research.So, what are professionals using to help make an accurate assessment of the issues presented by black clients in particular, and clients of color in general?
