Season 4 concludes with a tale of Shirley casually going on mostly-platonic dates with an older, rich gentleman. This irks Carmine into a fierce jealousy, and makes the older man's relatives suspicious of Shirley's intentions. Will they succeed in breaking up Shirl and Monroe's friendship?! On Pod, Chris and Lisa are annoyed by Carmine's nerve and the show's wobbly domestic violence "jokes" but love them some Shirley, Monroe, Edna and Lenny and Squiggy.
