Laverne's sorta-boyfriend Officer Norman Hughes sets up a program for women to join the Ladies Auxiliary Milwaukee Police Force (LAMPS). When Shirley hears about it, she enthusiastically wants to join, despite people thinking she's too girly-girl. Feeling the need to prove to Norman's stuffy crusty Chief that women CAN do the job of an officer, Laverne helps Shirley train for the obstacle course. Can they montage their way to success?!
