This week I sat down with Tammy Sofer, a dental hygienist with 20+ years of experience to discuss how she has integrated sustainability into the often wasteful world of dentistry!
With an oral surgery background and a career working with established practicing dentists, Tammy was able to step into a sales position which allowed her to attend a variety of industry conferences and encounter many professionals all over the country. Even as a working mother of three, Tammy took advantage of the opportunity to flex her travel muscle and headed to Guatemala. There she served the school-aged children, providing them with oral check-ups and basic dental hygiene education. When she returned home, the notion to help those children and others like them gain access to long-lasting oral care instruments remained with her! After hours of diligent research, Simply Floss was born!
