What is your experience with churches and Christians?
Most, if not all, of us have had a variety of experiences ranging from good to downright awful. In many cases, the bad experiences have caused people to completely reject Christ, at worst, or maintain a passive belief in God at best. Either way, it was pain from people who say they follow Christ that was the reason for their decision.
When we include the atrocities committed by the “church” throughout history, a large percentage of people feel justified in their opinion of us – and rightly so.
So when we were trying to decide what our next series would be, we hit on asking you... we posted to Facebook the question: “What are the issues today the church should address?” and the replies flew in.
Our next series, “Guilty by Association” is a series built on the questions and comments we received from you and the general public and will tackle some of the hardest issues the church faces. We will cover questions about biblical history, sex scandals in the church, politics, etc. We encourage you to invite your friends who also wrestle with these issues in church history who would like to hear the truth.
