Loving Others | As Yourself, Part 2

In 1967 the Beatles wrote the song, “All You Need is Love”. At a time in history where the answer for the problems of society and the world was to just “love each other”, it seemed like the easy answer.
Fast forward 52 years and it seems not a lot has changed; however, loving others isn’t so easy anymore.
We shouldn’t be surprised since God tells us in 2 Timothy 3:1-3,
You should know this Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. (NLT)
Sound familiar? Before we resign this to those outside the church, we must first look inside…no one is immune to the effects of sin and it can present challenges to God’s people too.
If the world, your family, friends, and neighbors are looking to the church to show love the way Jesus did, then we must learn how to love others His way. The church (Christians) is His representative, so let’s represent!
