In this podcast, I gather three analogies that I typically resort to during the introductory class in my EU crash course for non-lawyers.
The analogies allow to draw some clear lines and develop a quick preliminary understanding of what the EU is i) by comparison with the US, ii) what is not (intended to be anyway), and iii) what are mission and powers of EU Institutions in relation to its Member States.
