On this week's Sheer Isolation podcast we're joined by Seth Bye from the Giffords Circus Band.
With circus performances banned under lockdown, Seth's first season with the travelling troupe was put on hold just weeks before the first opening night, although the team at Giffords have come up with a novel way of entertaining crowds for the rest of the year.
Seth also talks about the Packhorse sessions, where he joined forces with his musical housemates to bring live tunes to his village at a time when other musicians were streaming from their bedrooms.
We also cover the latest news on live music and venues reopenings (or not), following last week's Government decision to delay the latest easing measures.
Music this week is from Seth's folk fusion band, Gathering Tides, and a new soul/blues inspired track from Bristol's Lady Nade.
The Sheer Isolation podcast is made weekly to promote the music scene in the West of England. It's created by Kieran Moore in Trowbridge and Jon Ponting near Cricklade.
Thank you for your continued positive feedback on this series. Musicians are very welcome to send us videos to feature as well as any news or streaming dates... sheerisolation@gmail.com
