This week on Sheer Isolation we're taking a break from discussing 2020 to chat with a man who retired from the live music scene several years ago.
Dave Young used to run the Victoria and the 12Bar in Swindon, and in his time booked many well known names to play in the town.
In Part One of this interview, we look back at when he and Anna first took over the Vic in 2004, along with some memorable stories from the first few years.
Dave picks a tune from Swindon trio, Hip Route, featuring vocals from Reef's Gary Stringer.
We also play a track from the upcoming album of Abingdon based The Sad Song Co.
This episode was created by Kieran Moore in Trowbridge and Jon Ponting in Cricklade.
