Description

We're back from our festive break; ready to bring you another weekly slice of news and views from the West of England's music scene.

On this week's Sheer Isolation, we're looking at how Brexit is going to affect UK musicians who were planning on touring the European mainland later this year.

We're joined by Folklaw frontman, Nick Gibbs, who's been busy researching the rules and downloading the relevant paperwork so his band can legally play the German festival scene.

He shares his knowledge for anyone else who's planning a musical trip to Europe this year, and lets us know some of the pitfalls to be avoided.

On the music front we play a sweet track with a heart-warming video from Cirencester duo, Ethemia, and Nick picks an acoustic punk track from a musician he met while touring the continent, a home recording by Nottingham's Paul Carbuncle.

This episode was created by Kieran Moore in Chippenham and Jon Ponting in Cricklade.

Thank you for your continued positive feedback on this series.
