On this week's Sheer Isolation we're joined by Tony McLoughlin, who's been promoting and distributing the latest music releases to shops across the land since the 1980s.
He tells us about his time at Tower Records in Piccadilly where his career started, and how the decline of physical CD sales means there's less demand for distributors, and how that part of the music industry is being replaced in a streaming world.
On the tunes front we have a new track from Salisbury metal duo Next Stop Olympus, and Tony picks an artist who steered him into a life of music, Frank Zappa.
This episode was created by Kieran Moore in Trowbridge and Jon Ponting in Cricklade.
