Description

From D.C. to L.A.

In this episode, we go head first into the mind and soul of Ben Carter. Ben overcomes the art of comparison as a young musician in L.A. every single day. Comparison is an enemy that needs to be addressed on the daily. What we see on the outside of people’s success is a small glimpse of what they do in the unseen. People always saw Ben as fun, outgoing, and spontaneous, which pays a cost as he is religious in his routines. His daily routine allows him to be free and filled with life. In the next chapter of Ben’s life will get heavier as he expects to have his first baby. This wasn’t part of the original plan, but he knew the more weight he takes on, the stronger he is and God won’t let him fail. The more we take on in life. The more discipline we have to be true and authentic with ourselves. We need to acknowledge our emotions and not just don’t dwell on them. Set a timer. Then get back in the grind of finding joy and happiness.

“What if I don’t need the best, but just I need God's favor.” – Benjamin Carter
