Today we talk about what it's like to be a fat person living in a world not built for fat people, both in a literal and figurative sense. There's a fat tax no one talks about, there's limited seating, and the chance of paying extra to fly in an airplane. But, just as important, there isn't room for our fat friends in conversation about what it's like to be them. It might be awkward or hard to talk about it, but it's important to either let them have their say about their physical appearance or, just as valid, shut the hell up when it comes to their weight.
