One of the best indicators of the health of a society is how society receives the Gospel of Christ. It’s because the message of Christ Jesus is for the happiness of all humans beings. The Gospel message is for all peoples and individuals. And Christ preached anyone could receive salvation not by particular religious practices but by being good to others. It is why many people all over the continents welcomed the Gospel.
But more and more societies reject the message of the Gospel in our times. Our country is not an exception here. Do you think our land becomes a better place as we disregard Christian values and teachings?
This is what the prophet Simeon foretold to the parents of the Messiah. Jesus is “to be a sign that will be opposed so that the inner thoughts of many will be revealed.” When I accept and follow the whole message of Christ, I will be truly a good human being. But I notice that often I don’t exercise what Jesus taught. These moments reveal my inner thoughts and my heart. I am still far from being a good person. Just try to proclaim the message of the Lord to your spouse, to your children, or your friends, and see how they receive it. Young couples should test their future spouses. While you know your boyfriend or girlfriend rejects the teachings of Christ, you should not believe that your future spouse will be a good human being or that marriage will change him or her into a good person. If someone opposes Christ Jesus, the person will do the same to you when you become a friend of Jesus and try to be a good human being.
