Chapter two in the story of Joshua is about the sending out of the spies to check out Jericho before the Israelites invade it. It's a story where the spied are surprisingly saved and aided by an unlikely friend - a foreign prostitute. Without her, their mission might have failed. Somehow, she had a change of heart and began to believe in God and wanted to be a part of God's people. It's one of the most unlikely stories that we could not have predicted. But, it shows us some important lessons about how God's mission works out in our world, and what we might expect as participate in God's mission, too.
