Sometimes God leads us out of one chapter in our lives and into another. We leave some aspects of our past behind and step into a new future. This is what the Israelites experiences when they finally ended their 40 years of wandering in the wilderness and crossed the Jordan River into the land that had been promised to them over 400 years before. It was a major transition in their lives and one where they needed God's help. This is a story that helps us see how God guides us in our lives today, when we encounter new chapters in our own stories.
