Andrew Chapman, the Broadcaster and Media Coordinator for the Jackson Generals (MiLB - AA affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks), joins the show to talk about baseball during a global pandemic, the MiLB season being officially canceled on June 30th, the future of Minor League baseball, players opting out of the MLB season, fan-less baseball, pumped in crowd noises, the Generals potentially losing ties with the Diamondbacks, and everything in between.
Andrew graduated from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School in 2017 with a degree in journalism and mass communication. At ASU, he called play-by-play for football, softball, baseball, basketball, and soccer on the PAC-12 Digital Networks and local student radio. Since graduating, Andrew has worked for three Minor League Baseball clubs, including the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (California League), the Biloxi Shuckers (Southern League), and now the Jackson Generals (Southern League).
The Jackson Generals have won 3 of the last 4 Southern League Championships (2016, 2018, 2019) and play at The Ballpark at Jackson which was named Tennessee's Pro Sports "Field of the Year" in 2017 and 2018.
