John Freeman, Voice of Nashville SC (MLS), joins the show to talk about pro-soccer in Nashville, his journey to the state of Tennessee, the transition of Nashville SC from the USL to MLS, the inaugural MLS game in Nashville SC history on Feb. 29, 2020, and what he is up to during quarantine.
At the end of the show, I give an update on what the MLS has recently reported about the 2020 season and its plan to resume this summer.
John has been a sportscaster for 13 years, working for the ACC Network, ESPN 3, ESPN+, MYTV30, and the OVC Digital Network. He graduated from The University of Virginia in 2009. He called the 2019 SheBelieves Cup match between Japan and Brazil at Nissan Stadium, and has served as the voice of Nashville SC since their start in the United Soccer League (USL) back in 2018.
