We can hardly believe we've had a year of conversations, laughing and crying through dishes, flowers, conflict in friendship, and all the everyday wonder of our "not-so-special" lives. Today we're talking about working with what you've got, starting from our lack, and trusting God to lead us gently.
We are also sharing about our favorite band, Scythian! When discussing the topic of "working with what you've got" these guys certainly fit the bill. Growing their audience exponentially in 2020 when many bands were throwing in the towel, these guys managed to keep a captive audience via live-streaming from their living room and releasing two albums in the middle of what seemed to be a career-killing year. They're a party wherever they go, sharing authentic moments of joy and humor from the stage. And their bassist, Ethan Dean, is Emily's husband... in case we needed one more reason to love these guys!
