There were three KKKs. The first came after the Confederate States of America lost the Civil War. The second after WWI. The third in response to the civil rights movement and its successes. The crowning achievement of the second KKK was the 1924 Immigration Act and the establishment of the Border Patrol. It had a huge presence in Oregon.
