Description

He drank wine and danced with the men and the women congregated there until he fell exhausted on a sofa between new friends, in front of the huge window, shutters thrown wide open so that the rising sun would warm their faces. Only at this dawn did he run all the way home, his feet lighter than his music, to lock himself in his room and fall into his dreams.

This week's Tall tales episode is the next fragment from the novel Exile, written way back at the end of 1989. It's called ....if he were dead and continues the seemingly unconnected story that will surely be connected.
