Hey all!
Nearly a month ago Spain and Portugal experienced a several-hour electricity blackout. Power went down at mid-day and wasn’t restored completely until early the next morning, though the majority of users had service returned in around six to seven hours.
We still don’t know exactly why the downtime occurred. A cyberattack has been ruled out. The most probable reason is a lack of a specific kind of infrastructure related to regulating excess energy produced by the successful renewable energy program here in Spain.
So, I talk about that blackout, how it touched Spanish people on a regular working day in April, how it touch me at home on a regular “take-care-of-the-garden” day. I manage to slip in at least one political criticism.
