Do you ever wonder why people still feel unloved even if they are in a relationship? Or ‘yung binigay mo na ang 100% pero kulang pa para sa minamahal mo?
We both felt this way. Like there were times when Joel gave me flowers, yet I would blurt out, “bakit, ano’ng meron?” or worse “naawa ka ba sa nagtitinda kaya mo ako binilhan ng flowers?” (Sorry!) Or when Joel would request for a massage, yet I would feel that he is so pabebe.
We felt the disconnect somewhere. And we asked each other, “How Do I Love Thee?” There were indeed countless ways but each had a different effect in our hearts. I feel most loved when I am given undivided attention. Joel feels my love the most when I serve him. This was the time when we learned about LOVE LANGUAGES and how important it is.
Lesson #1. Love the other person the way he or she wants to be loved.
Lesson #2. Be grateful. Stay grateful. Live grateful.
Lesson #3 Keep on getting to know each other.
Lesson #4 Love is not just a feeling nor an emotion. Love is a decision.
Lesson #5: When you know your love language, do not force the other one to do it for you. Kasi love is self-less and unconditional.
