If Jesus doesn't meet our expectations, do we walk away from Him as the disciples on the road to Emmaus did? And if He joined us on our journey away from Him, would we listen to Him and ask Him to remain with us? More importantly, would we recognize Him when He revealed Himself to us?
Probably we are not much different from these two disciples or the others who had traveled with Jesus. They give us hope that Jesus is not done with us yet regardless of anything that we do.
