Matt is a candidate to become a certified financial planner and has TONS of great thoughts on how to become financially independent. It’s this stoic philosophy of controlling the controllables that allowed Matt and his wife to get knock down on $25,000 in debt on a $50,000/yr income! A fifty percent savings rate is absolutely astonishing, but it’s also not accidental. He conducted his financial size-up and deployed appropriate resources to where he was vulnerable. That’s how we get knock down on a fire and that’s exactly how he’s knocking down his goals on the path towards financial independence. 👣👣👣
