Karen C.L. Anderson is a master-certified life coach and author who's work is for those who wish to take care of themselves in the relationship they have with their mothers. Her coaching practice is trauma-informed and based on intersectional feminist principles. She recognizes that what's possible personally is what's possible collectively and that the Mother Wound is not actually about mothers but about systems and structures that oppress all women. She understands that adage "hurt people hurt people" but prefers to say "people who are unaware of their hurt sometimes hurt other people" while acknowledging that cultivating compassion and empathy doesn't mean you have to hang out with hurt people and that healthy boundaries (up to an including going "no contact" even if just temporarily) are at the heart of healthy relationships.
