In terms of the big picture, Humanity is experiencing a golden age. When compared to the human experience from the dawn of civilization child mortality is down, deaths in wars are down, overall life expectancy is up, and the default condition is no longer poverty. So why do we insist on focusing on all the negatives? Sure, there is a lot of room for improvement in the 21st century, but there is no reason whatsoever that we should doom scroll our way through our news feeds 24/7.
