From Humanitarian Aid Worker, to first woman as Head of Office of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in an Iranian office, Rana Ebrahimi is a woman driven by a passion for helping others in emergency and crisis situations.  

Rana's lived and professional experience, working with United Nations agencies and international NGOs has taught her the value of communicating and negotiating for positive peace and development, notably with high-level government authorities and diplomats  

Rana is the community engagement manager at Cancer Council Victoria and was co-founder/director at Hueman Equity Consulting, having recently moved on from her Directorship role though still consulting. 

She is a board member of the Australian Iranian Society of Victoria and Equal Employment Opportunity Network, and has led several projects on human rights, multiculturalism, diversity and inclusion and multicultural community engagement.  

Rana holds a Masters in International Law with a thesis focusing on Afghan refugees’ predicament in Iran. 

She is actively a speaker, advocate, Human Rights thought leader, and seeks to positively impact the world, speaking and acting on behalf of women and children, the displaced, and those without a voice.
