In Episode 109, Billy Donnelly talks about a recent experience of pushing himself past some limits - in order to go to brunch - and how it didn't end particularly well for him. With a not-great day of ulcerative colitis hitting, he ignored a bunch of the warning signs, in order for his chronic condition to not be the center of attention, to not feel as if he was disappointing others by not going and also to not miss out on the good time. As a result, he learned the hard way that those things have to be less of a concern for him and consideration for his own health needs to be top priority. He discusses the pressure he put on himself to try to be "normal," and why some sacrifices - including brunch - will just have to become the new "normal" moving forward.
