In response to Manga Lakshmi’s query, Dr John Watts told her that many people realize that they have severe dandruff after they shave off their hair on the scalp, often as part of a religious offering.
“The best solution for dandruff is to take a daily head bath or use anti-fungal shampoo or lotion to control it,” explained Dr John Watts.
Usually, when we oil on dandruff, they form into flakes. These need to be removed with ketoconazole shampoo. If this does not work, one may need to apply ketoconazole lotion overnight and wash it off the next morning with normal shampoo or ketoconazole shampoo.
