Avinash Kusuma asks: Sir, can I take only Finasteride without taking Minoxidil for hair growth & baldness issues? Will it work? Please explain.
In his response, Dr John Watts tells Avinash Kusuma that as part of hair treatment both Minoxidil and Finasteride are useful. “Taking both of them provides better results. One should use them together unless one has allergic issues with Minoxidil or it cause skin irritation,” advised Dr John.
He pointed out that due to its alcohol content, Minoxidil can make the hair dry in some patients.
However, if one intends to take only Finasteride, Dr John said that it can be better combined with a hair serum for good results.
