#HappyNewYear! I am back with new episodes. In the fourth episode of season 2, I am joined with national certified school psychologist in Naperville School District, Chris Colson. In our chat, we talk about his career, race and education, and his work on the importance of mental health.

BIO:
Chris Colson was born in South Carolina where he eventually made his way to Decatur, Illinois. In 2013, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Eastern Illinois University and he then went to receive his Master of Education Degree in Educational Psychology in 2016 followed by his Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology in 2016 from National Louis University. He is currently working on his Doctorate of Education Degree in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in K-12 Leadership at Grand Canyon University and he is a National Certified School Psychologist currently working in the Naperville School District. As a previous crisis counselor and mental health provider, his goal to continue to advocate for our youth as well as to increase the awareness of mental health in the minority and marginalized communities.
