Description

How are you nurturing your roots and wings?

Our tenth #earthconversepodcast guest is Christiane Frischmuth, whose roots go deep and whose reach is wide. She talks of growing up in a farming community and her transition to the city, and from Germany to the USA.  A passionate hiker she tells us about hiking the John Muir trail solo as a rite of passage. And as an international consultant, coach and vision guide she gives us an insight into how she encourages people to connect with their own true nature, through nature.  And beautifully she ends with 2 poems (64 mins)

Our conversation includes:

·  The concept of roots and wings

·  Connection with ancestors, sense of belonging and the cycles of life and death

·  Fears and core wounds, and exploring them through nature

·  ‘What is my war and what is not my war’

·  The social responsibility of looking after ourselves and becoming as conscious as we can.

·  Hiking with intentionality, as a vision quest

·  How, particularly coaches, can incorporate nature into their work.

·  The power of poetry.
