“Sometimes the most scenic roads in life are the detours you didn't mean to take.”

This is Episode 138 (S3:E29)
Our topic of the week: On Unexpected Opportunity
I think we all have an idea about the direction of our lives.
We go to school. Major in a particular subject. Get a job. Move up. Try to make some money. Pay for life. Maybe meet someone along the way. Build a family. Make a home. Etc
It's a well-beaten path. We 'know' how it's supposed to go.
But what happens when it doesn't go that way? What happens when life gets in the way?
What happens when 'Option A' is no longer and you have to live 'Option B'?
Let's go one step further: what if you have to choose to live 'Option B' rather than having some circumstance dictate it for you? Ie it's your doing, your choice...
It's hard. Yet, we see it all the time.
How do you cope? What are the mechanisms you use to move forward?
Is there an alternative way to see it? Can you see it as what could be considered an 'unexpected opportunity' or a 'second chance'?
Does that change anything? Our mindest or our actions? Our level of happiness?
We go there by deviating a bit from the portion of the week and talking about an event that took place thousands of years ago on this date (Hebrew date) known as the 'Second Passover.'
Happy Learning!
