With schools focused on educating children to ensure they are excelling in their grades, they may tend to miss out on teaching them about bullying, which is important to create a safe learning environment.

I came to this realization after years of volunteering at schools and then selling my anti-bullying services to schools.

With the first step in most cases being reporting bullying incidents to the school, children need more in-depth education about bullying because when a child is victimized, parents need the help of educators to make sure bullying is addressed. Parents and school leaders need to ensure that the victim is kept safe and that other children have an understanding of how to treat others.
