- Saturday the 14th of May will be the 17th annual Health Festival, from 7:30 to 11:30 am at the Prisco Center, located at 150 W. Illinois avenue in Aurora. Vaccines will be available, as well as screenings for glucose, hepatitis C and blood pressure. Activities, breakfast and a whole lot of resources: this will be a fun and helpful community event! - Senior Meal Distributions have returned! State representatives Representative Barbara Hernandez Illinois House District 84 and State Representative Keith Wheeler have teamed up once again on specific Mondays through spring and summer. The next upcoming dates are May 9th & 23rd!
- Last but not least, Veterans Gardening Day is taking place at Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry this Saturday, May 7th from 11 am to 1 pm. This will be a day of honoring the veterans of Illinois. Also, this will celebrate House Bill 2894, designating the 1st Saturday in May as Veterans Gardening Day. See the flyer for more details and thank you to all the sponsors for their hard work.
